One student. Two fields that had to meet.
Admitted to Purdue — and I had found who I wanted to build with before I got there.
Where do our two fields actually touch?
We knew we wanted to build something together, so we started with the only honest question two freshmen could ask.
The answer was drones.
Two doors that closed.
First we tried to build the hardware. We did not have the capital, and we did not have the time.
Then we tried to build the software that flies it. We did not have the capital, and we did not have the hardware to write it against.
Neither of those was a failure. They were how we found the part of this problem we could actually solve.
The companies building these drones did not need another drone.
They needed to prove where every part came from — to the federal government, on demand, with the documents behind it.
That is software. That is a problem we could reach.
That is Panoptical.
What we have built.
One thing, for now. For a drone manufacturer: a bill of materials screened against the rules a federal buyer asks about, with the list version and the date recorded beside every result.
We are pre-seed and we are early. It does not make the determination — the government decides whether a supplier is permitted. We assemble the evidence and say plainly when we do not know.
three design partners so far
We are taking on a small number of design partners.
We built this before we asked anyone for money, and we would rather be corrected now than be polished and wrong.
- What it means
- You run it against your own records — a real bill of materials. You tell us where it breaks, what it misses, and what you actually need on a Friday afternoon. We build against your workflow instead of our assumptions.
- What we ask
- Guidance. Real insight into how this industry actually works, from people who work in it. Not a purchase order, and not a commitment we have not earned.
- What you get
- Direct access to the people writing the code, and your requirements shaping the product before anyone else’s.
- Who this is for
- US drone manufacturers and their suppliers who are already answering federal supply-chain questions, and who would rather answer them from one place than from a spreadsheet.
